
John Cofer
Pastor
John is married to Brenda. They have four children: Elisabeth, married to Jeremy Lee, with two sons; Jennifer; Paul, married to Christy with a daughter and son; and Stephen, married to Amber with a son. He has pastored churches in Georgia and Mississippi. John has served the Lord at Liberty for more than 25 years. He has degrees from Georgia Tech (B.C.E.), Tennessee Temple Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.,ThM), and Dallas Theological Seminary (D.Min.). John became a Christ-follower at the age of 20 while attending college. As a shepherd, he looks forward to discovering God’s plan for each member of Liberty as well as our purpose in advancing the Kingdom of God in the 21st century.

Cassidy Holland
Director of Children’s Ministry
Cassidy grew up the middle child of two brothers in a pastor’s home and never remembers a time she wasn’t in church. From her childhood, she has always had a special love for kids as a sitter, an intern at a family-based community for displaced children in Honduras, an ASL interpreter at the Mississippi School for the Deaf, and an active servant leader in a preschool ministry. In all of those experiences, Cassidy’s desire is to see the next generation grow in their love for the Lord. Her favorite role is “Aunt Sass” to her two-year-old nephew. She has two dogs, Nala and Atlas, and a cat named Weasley. She loves reading, cooking, hiking and camping, but while at home, relaxing on her back porch with a cup of hot tea.

Brock Burch
Education, Discipleship, Students
Brock is married to Taylor and they have three daughters, Rebecca, Lydia, and Mary Katherine. Brock has served churches in both Louisiana and Mississippi as student pastor and as a pastor prior to coming to Liberty. Brock received his BA from Leavell College. He also completed his Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Brock’s desire is to help individuals become disciples of Christ.

Megan Hitt
Ministry Assistant
Megan is from Columbia, MS and graduated from William Carey University with a Bachelor’s in Art and a Master’s in Art Education. She currently paints and makes digital artwork from her home. Megan is married to Isaac Hitt, a software developer also from Columbia, and they both attend Trace Ridge Baptist Church, where they both serve on the worship team and Isaac serves as a deacon. They have two dogs, a miniature schnauzer named “Sarge”, and a cairn terrier mix named “Jude”. Some of Megan’s favorite things are spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing ukulele, and making art.
